Sligo Town will come alive with festive cheer as we mark the official start of the Christmas season at the Christmas Lights Switch-On event on Saturday, November 23rd from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Join us in Queen Maeve Square for an afternoon and evening of family-friendly entertainment, festive fun, and plenty of Christmas spirit!
Event Highlights:
- Santa Claus switches on the lights at 6:00 PM
- Ocean FM broadcasts live from Queen Maeve Square from 2:00 PM
- Street Entertainment from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Live Music including a vibrant Samba Band
- Face Painters creating magical designs for kids
- Snow Queens adding a touch of winter wonder
- Charming Choirs and Musicians filling the square with seasonal tunes
- Meet Santa’s Elves and have fun with their festive antics
Important Information: Due to the build of the ice rink in Queen Maeve Square, there will be limited capacity in the square for the event. Once capacity is reached, there will still be viewing available on Rockwood Parade.
